The Toddler Program
The Toddler Program is a 12-month program for children aged between 18 and 30 months. We ensure a teacher to child ratio of 1:5. See our fees and learn more about aspects of the Toddler Program below:
Motor Skills
To develop gross and motor skills, the child enters a prepared learning environment: a classroom filled with interactive stations. This is an uninterrupted work cycle of one hour, where they are free to explore the classroom, developing skills like hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and concentration. Gross motor skills are promoted outdoors, in the playground.
Language Acquisition
Toddlers are encouraged to develop their language and vocabulary through a number of ways. Some of these include matching nomenclature cards to items, involving them in story time and role-play. The children learn songs and listen to music together through the Music and Movement aspect of the program, developing a sense of community and togetherness.
Self Help and Self Reliance
Though the children are provided with full support from the teachers where it is needed, the Toddler Program focuses on developing a sense of independence in the children by helping them to acquire skills such as dressing and grooming , hygiene, toilet training and self feeding.
Social Interactions
Throughout their time in the Toddler Program, the children develop close and nurturing relationships with their teachers and peers in an environment that promotes trust and friendship. The teachers also ensure that they have a trusting relationship with every child's parents. .
